Sweet Conversations Slim Line Valentine Card

 Hello Stampers!

Happy Valentine's Day!!  (Okay, well it technically is Monday, but I hope you are sharing the day with the one you love!)  I will be sharing the day with my hubby and my fur baby, Lilly.  Love them both!  I will be fixing them both a special dinner, and I will be giving my hubby this card.

I made it using the Sweet Conversations Bundle which is part of the Sweet Talk Suite in the current mini catalog.  The DSP is a pattern from the Sweet Talk DSP which is part of this suite, and I thought it worked well on this card.  I LOVE the little envelope die in the set with the hearts spilling out of it.  And I have not done many slim line cards, so they are always fun to try!

If you follow my blog, you might remember that one of my New Year resolutions was to challenge myself to participate in stamping and card challenges.  Well, this month I decided to get one done in time to actually enter the challenge!  It will be my first official entry in a challenge!  Woohoo, a resolution I actually kept!   I used sketch 459 from Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.  Here it is:

The card really was easy to pull together.  A little stamping, die cutting, and some gluing and just like that, card done!
  • All the stamping was done in Real Red ink on Blushing Bride or Basic White CS.
  • All the little hearts were die cuts from the Sweet Hearts Dies along with that adorable tiny envelope!
  • I then assembled the card as the sketch showed, and added another row of the hearts on the bottom of the card inside.

On the envelope front, I stamped the heart full strength once, then twisted the stamp to just slightly overlap the hearts and stamped again without re-inking, and did that on both lower corners.

Some matching DSP on a legal size envelope flap I had from the dollar store and, then I had an envelope as pretty as the card!

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  If you want to recreate this card, the  measurements and supplies I used are below.  If you live in the USA and don't already have a demonstrator, I would love to assist you with your crafting needs.  If you would like a copy of the new catalog or a calendar of my class schedule, please let me know, and I will be glad to send you one.

Until next time...
Happy Stamping!
Laurie B.
